Clark International Airport (CRK) recently welcomed the Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines, His Excellency Jing Quan, for an official visit aimed at strengthening air connectivity and exploring new opportunities for aviation, tourism, trade, and economic cooperation.

The high-level visit highlighted the critical role that expanded air links play in driving regional tourism, facilitating bilateral trade, and fostering deeper economic and cultural exchange between the two nations.

During the brief, BCDA (Base Conversion and Development Authority) Vice President for Investment Promotions and Marketing, Erwin Kenneth R. Peralta, presented upcoming infrastructure developments across Central and North Luzon. Peralta highlighted the region’s massive trajectory as a rapidly growing logistics, business, and investment hub, positioning Clark at the center of this economic expansion.

Reyes emphasized the airport’s strategic geographical role in expanding both regional and international flight routes to better serve global travelers.

On the trade front, LIPAD Vice President for Commercial Development, Eva Tejada, detailed CRK’s ongoing initiatives to solidify its position as a premier cargo hub. Tejada highlighted active efforts to expand air freight opportunities and enhance the airport’s advanced cargo-handling capabilities to directly support robust trade and economic growth.
