Brokenshire Medical Center (BMC) has officially launched the BMC Heart Institute, a full-spectrum cardiovascular care facility.
The BMC Heart Institute is the latest milestone in AppleOne Medical Group’s (AMG) deliberate, purpose-driven expansion of regional healthcare, an effort that President and CEO Ray Go Manigsaca has called a defining commitment of the AppleOne Group.
“At AppleOne Medical Group, our goal has always been to elevate the standard of living in Visayas and Mindanao (VisMin) through the places we build, the experiences we offer, and now, through the care we deliver. Establishing AMG in 2020 was a bold step during the height of the pandemic, driven by our purpose and strong belief in the VisMin region. Today, we are even closer to bringing world-class healthcare closer to home,” shared Manigsaca.
The Heart Institute meaningfully expands Mindanao’s cardiovascular care options by offering new, advanced, and integrated services the region previously lacked.
From preventive screenings and non-invasive diagnostics, to complex invasive cardiology like, Diagnostic Coronary Angiography, Angioplasty, Coronary Stenting, cardiac rehabilitation, and long-term disease management, the Heart Institute brings together top cardiologists and a multidisciplinary team to deliver end-to-end cardiac care.
Designed as Mindanao’s regional referral hub, the BMC Heart Institute serves Davao City and extends to Western Mindanao, Northern Mindanao, BARMM, and surrounding provinces.
A Heart Care Coordinator system ensures patients move smoothly from consultation to discharge to follow-up, carefully guided throughout. The Heart Institute sits within BMC’s broader portfolio of firsts. Founded in 1917 and now under AMG’s management, BMC is already home to the region’s first hospital-based multidisciplinary center for children with special needs (CANDEV), and houses the first and only IVF Laboratory in Mindanao.
AMG operates three hospitals across VisMin — VisayasMed in Cebu, United Shalom in Tacloban, and Brokenshire Medical Center in Davao — with plans to expand through a hub-and-spoke network of satellite care centers within 50 kilometers of each flagship hospital.
The Heart Institute’s grand launch was preceded by a series of milestone events: a Corporate Launch on June 16, 2026, introducing the Heart Institute to key business and institutional partners, internal launch on June 25, 2026, and a Heart and Wellness Fair on June 26, 2026, engaging the broader Davao community in heart health awareness ahead of the formal launch on June 27, 2026.
