LANDBANK is strengthening growth and development across the Visayas through ₱33.4 billion in financing support for local government units (LGUs) and an expanded digital banking network, helping cities accelerate infrastructure projects, improve public service delivery, and broaden access to financial services.
During the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) 82nd National Executive Board Meeting and 2nd Visayas Cluster Consultation in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu on 15 July 2026, the Bank showcased an integrated suite of financial solutions designed to help cities modernize public services and accelerate key development initiatives.
The LANDBANK delegation was led by Executive Vice President Marilou L. Villafranca, alongside First Vice President Allan R. Bisnar, Vice Presidents Llewellyn T. Cavite, Brendalyn B. Villavicencio and Lemuel D. Imperial, and Officer-in-Charge Joselia R. Catalan. They joined LCP National President and San Juan City Mayor Francisco Javier M. Zamora, members of the LCP National Executive Board, and city mayors from across the Visayas.
“Cities are at the forefront of local progress and public service delivery. By equipping our LGUs with tailored financing and digital innovations, LANDBANK is empowering local leaders to execute high-impact projects, streamline governance, and drive truly inclusive and sustainable growth for every Visayan community,” said LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz.
As of May 2026, LANDBANK’s financing support to Visayas LGUs reached ₱32.7 billion under its LGU Lending Program and ₱650.9 million through its LGU Multi-Developmental Financing Support Program. These funds were channeled to support infrastructure development along with key environmental, social, and economic initiatives across the region.
To complement this funding, the Bank continues to enhance financial accessibility in the Visayas through a network of more than 2,000 banking touchpoints, including 107 branches, 691 ATMs, 13 lending centers, and 174 LANDBANKasama partners.
LANDBANK also provides LGUs with a suite of digital banking and payment solutions to help accelerate their digital transformation. These include the Link.BizPortal for secure digital payment acceptance and Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals for debit and credit card payments. Furthermore, the Bank provides the weAccess platform for real-time account monitoring, fund management, payments, payroll, and collections, alongside the Government Purchase Card (GPC) for eligible government expenses and procurement.
In addition to LGU support, the Bank offers specialized financing programs for agriculture, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), water infrastructure, and renewable energy projects. Together, these programs support food security, local business growth, improved access to essential services, and long-term sustainability.
By combining accessible financing with digital innovation, LANDBANK continues to empower local governments to drive inclusive growth and build more resilient communities across the Visayas and the rest of the country.
