Supply chain and logistics becomes a major group in new DTI structure

Supply Chain and Logistics has been added as a new group of the Department of Trade and Industry’s newly reorganized structure.

Department Order 25-07 signed by DTI Secretary Ma. Cristina A. Roque has designated Undersecretary Mary Jean T. Pacheco as the supervising head of the newly created Supply Chain and Logistics Group (SCLG).

Renaming the previous E-Commerce group, the new SCLG will be composed of the supply chain and logistics.

The SCLG shall play a vital role in streamlining supply chain networks and logistics operations by identifying and addressing gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies. ln coordination with other functional groups.

Among its tasks is to develop comprehensive solutions and lead projects to enhance operational performance and strengthen supply chain resilience.

The creation of the SCLG is based on the latest revised organizational grouping of the DTI to further streamline and rationalize the department and make it more response to the current conditions affecting the trade and industry sectors.

The newly reorganized agency has seven major functional groups, which report directly to the Office of the Secretary (OSEC). These are the following: Competitiveness and Innovation Group (CIG), Fair Trade Group (FTG), International Trade Policy Group (ITG) , Management Services Group (MSG), Regional Operations Group (ROG), and Supply Chain and Logistics Group (SCLG).
