AirAsia Philippines announced temporary adjustments to its flight schedule for June 6 and June 7, 2025, necessitated by temporary aircraft limitations. The airline is committed to prioritizing safety and has cancelled certain flights to ensure optimal and secure operations.
“Every flight decision is anchored on safety first, so we ensure we fly only when it is safe and optimal to do so,” said Steve Dailisan, AirAsia Philippines Communications & Corporate Affairs Head and First Officer. “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused due to adjustments in flight schedules. Notifications were immediately shared with our guests via SMS and registered email.”
AirAsia Philippines has already begun notifying affected guests and is offering a range of Standard Recovery Options (SRO) to minimize disruption:
- 1-time Free Change Flight: Guests may change to any new travel date of their choice within 30 days from the original scheduled departure date on the same route without any additional cost, subject to seat availability.
- Credit Account: Guests can retain the value of their flight booking in their AirAsia BIG Member account for future travel with AirAsia. This credit can be redeemed within 730 calendar days (2 years) from the issuance date, and the travel date of the new booking can fall on any date within the published flight schedule on airasia.com.
- Full Refund: Guests are entitled to a full refund equivalent to their booking, which will be processed to the original form of payment. Refund requests can be made with AskBo at support.airasia.com. For bookings made through travel agents, including online travel agents, refunds must be processed directly via the respective travel agent.
Guests who wish to make booking changes online can do so conveniently through AirAsia MOVE or airasia.com. From the available categories, select “Booking Changes,” then “Flight Change,” and finally “My flight was changed by AirAsia.” Guests can then follow the instructions to modify their booking accordingly.
