50 Calabarzon MSMEs caps DTI training, eye expansion

Fifty Calabarzon-based micro small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) are keen to expand operations and generate local employment after completing the recent Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Kapatid Mentor ME–Money and Market Encounter (KMME-MME) Online Multi-Sectoral program.
The program equipped micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with practical strategies to improve operations, marketing, and financial management across industries such as food, fashion, publishing, home and wellness, consultancy, construction, agriculture, creative services, and trading.
Each graduate presented their Business Improvement Plan to a panel of at least 21 to 50 evaluators from banks, online platforms, and business support groups to refine strategies and build potential partnerships.
The final presentations marked the culmination of 10 structured KMME modules and business coaching sessions under the KMME framework.
The DTI said it will continue to support graduates through trade fairs and OTOP Next Gen program. GoNegosyo, a partner in the initiative, will also provide access to summits, conferences, mentorship programs, and other industry exposure opportunities.
Now in its fifth year in the region, the KMME-MME has produced 948 mentees since 2016, including 135 referred through Negosyo Centers.
Interested applicants must be at least 18 years old and a local resident with a registered business operating for at least one year. Online participants must also have a laptop or mobile device, a stable internet connection, and an active Facebook account. Applications may be sent via email to the Region IV-A office at r04a@dti.gov.ph.
