Hotel101 Global Holdings Corp., a leading asset-light, prop-tech hospitality platform, announced its entry into the Cambodian market with the signing of definitive binding agreements to develop two major projects: Hotel101-Phnom Penh and Hotel101-Sihanoukville. The projects are expected to be among the largest hotels in Cambodia by room count upon completion.
The agreements were signed between Hotel101 Global Pte. Ltd., the company’s Singapore-headquartered subsidiary, and Canopy Sands Development Co., Ltd., a prominent Cambodian real estate developer. This expansion marks Cambodia as the sixth country for Hotel101, adding to its existing presence in the Philippines, Japan, Spain, the United States, and Saudi Arabia.
Project Details and Market Opportunity
Hotel101-Phnom Penh will be a 30-story building with approximately 700 rooms, located on a prime 2,033-square-meter commercial plot in Tonle Bassac, a vibrant riverfront district near the upscale BKK area. Meanwhile, Hotel101-Sihanoukville will feature approximately 680 rooms on a 4,623-square-meter commercial lot directly adjacent to the proposed international convention and exhibition center within the master-planned Bay of Lights coastal development.
These two projects are projected to generate a combined $109.55 million USD in sales revenue. Hotel101’s entry comes at a time when Cambodia’s tourism sector is experiencing significant growth, with the country having welcomed over 6.7 million international visitors in 2024. The upcoming September 9, 2025, opening of the new Techno International Airport (KTI) in Phnom Penh is anticipated to further boost visitor arrivals.
