FIATA addresses digital standards and resilience at tlacSEA 2025 in Singapore

The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) reinforced its commitment to digital transformation and industry resilience with a key participation and keynote address at the Transport Logistics and Air Cargo Southeast Asia (tlacSEA) 2025 event in Singapore.

The event, a vital platform for collaboration in one of Southeast Asia’s premier logistics hubs, allowed FIATA to reconnect with regional partners just weeks after the successful 2025 FIATA World Congress in Hanoi.

Dr Stéphane Graber, FIATA’s Director General, delivered a high-impact keynote address on the opening day, titled “Reimagining Airfreight: Digital Standards in Action.” Dr. Graber emphasized that disruption has become the ‘new normal,’ compelling the logistics industry to transform rapidly and challenging leadership to turn inherent uncertainty into a clear strategic direction.

“The industry is undergoing profound change where resilience is not just necessary—it is a critical imperative,” Dr. Graber stated. “Today, sustainability is no longer a ‘nice to have,’ and digital transformation is accelerating, enabling greater efficiency and improved environmental performance. Companies that fail to adapt to these shifts risk falling behind in an increasingly competitive and technologically advanced logistics landscape.”

In this complex and rapidly evolving environment, FIATA continues to champion the interests of freight forwarding companies, ranging from Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to large global players.

FIATA provides essential knowledge, tools, training, and robust advocacy to its members. The Federation ensures the voice of the freight forwarding community is heard in critical international policy discussions, promoting regulatory frameworks that actively foster business development, innovation, and global standardization.
