dnata, a leading global air and travel services provider, has been recognized for its industry leadership and innovation, securing two prestigious awards at the Aviation Business Middle East (ABME) Awards 2025.

The company was honored with the Ground Support Company of the Year award for an unprecedented 15th time, one of the most distinguished categories at the event. dnata also received the Digital Transformation Project of the Year award, underscoring its commitment to technology-driven operational improvements.

The repeated success as Ground Support Company of the Year reflects dnata’s sustained strategy of transformation through digitalization, innovation, and significant capital investment.

Key achievements highlighted over the past year include:

  • Autonomous Operations: The introduction of autonomous, electric baggage tractors at Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC), forming one of the region’s most advanced airside automation projects to boost efficiency.

  • Global Modernization: A major investment program to introduce over 800 new pieces of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) across 10 markets in 2025, including electric and hybrid loaders and AI-enabled systems designed to enhance accuracy, cut emissions, and improve reliability.

  • Global Expansion: Strengthening its worldwide presence with the launch of new stations, such as Rome Fiumicino in Italy, securing long-term license renewals, and reinforcing its position as a global integrated air services provider.

dnata’s commitment to safety and efficiency was further recognized with the Digital Transformation Project of the Year award for its innovative Virtual Reality (VR) training program. This immersive solution enables employees to safely rehearse complex airside scenarios in a controlled digital environment, significantly improving situational awareness, accelerating learning, and enhancing safety consciousness among airside supervisors.

Jaffar Dawood, dnata’s Divisional Senior Vice President for UAE Airport Operations, who accepted the awards, stated: “These awards reflect the dedication and professionalism of our teams, as well as the strong collaboration we enjoy with our partners across the airport community and local authorities. This collective effort is what drives the outstanding success and growth of Dubai’s aviation industry. We will continue to invest in our people, infrastructure and equipment to deliver even greater achievements in the years ahead.”

The ABME Awards celebrate organizations driving operational progress, technological advancement, and industry leadership across the Middle East’s aviation sector.
