Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Giovanni Lopez has highly commended the swift construction and appealing design of the new Tambayan Food Hall and Food Village located in the departure area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.
This significant infrastructure development is an initiative of the New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) as part of its commitment to comprehensive airport modernization.
The project directly aligns with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to beautify and modernize airport facilities across the nation, enhancing the overall welfare and experience of passengers.
Secretary Lopez expressed his strong approval of the new facility, emphasizing the immediate benefits for airport users.
“This is a big deal for passengers, employees, and other airport users because there are many dining options and WiFi is free,” said Secretary Lopez. “Besides, the place is cozy, bright, and spacious.”
The Tambayan Food Hall boasts an impressive seating capacity of 2,500 and features a diverse array of food concessionaires, offering culinary choices from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Importantly, the Hall includes Halal-certified food options to cater to all passengers.
Adjacent to the main Hall is the Departure Food Village, which provides an additional 500 seats in a modern, welcoming environment.
The Tambayan Food Hall and the Departure Food Village are set to officially open their doors to passengers and the general public on December 8, marking a new milestone in the enhanced passenger services at NAIA Terminal 3.
This modernization effort is a key component in the ongoing commitment to elevate Philippine gateways to international standards, ensuring a more convenient and pleasant experience for everyone utilizing the country’s primary airport.
