Air France announces strategic evolution of Paris-Manila service to seasonal operation

Air France today announced an update to its network connectivity between Europe and Southeast Asia. Effective May 2026, the direct service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Manila (MNL) will transition to a seasonal schedule, aligning capacity with peak global travel demand.

To optimize its long-haul fleet deployment, Air France will temporarily suspend the 3x weekly Paris-Manila service for the Northern Summer season. The final flight of the current cycle will depart in early May 2026, with service scheduled to resume on October 13, 2026, for the Winter 2026-2027 season.

Air France remains committed to the Philippine market through its SkyTeam partnership and the Air France-KLM Group’s dual-hub strategy. During the seasonal hiatus, travelers can maintain seamless connectivity between Europe and Manila via the Group’s Amsterdam-Schiphol hub, where KLM Royal Dutch Airlines continues to operate its scheduled service to Manila.

Air France is proactively contacting customers booked on affected flights. Passengers will be offered the following options:

  • Automatic rebooking on the nearest available flights via Amsterdam or other partner hubs.

  • The option to request a full refund or a travel credit for future use.

“This adjustment allows us to maintain a sustainable presence in the Philippines while ensuring our fleet is deployed where demand is highest during the summer months,” said a spokesperson for Air France-KLM. “We look forward to welcoming our Filipino passengers back to our direct Paris service in October 2026.”
