Montenegro Shipping Lines announces fare adjustments for Zamboanga–Isabela City route

Montenegro Shipping Lines, Inc. (MSLI), a leading provider of domestic sea travel, today announced a revised passage freight rate for its operations between Zamboanga City and Isabela City, Basilan. The updated fare matrix will officially take effect on February 1, 2026.

This adjustment comes as part of a periodic review of operational costs to ensure the continued delivery of safe, reliable, and efficient maritime transport services linking the Zamboanga Peninsula and the island province of Basilan.

The new rates apply to all departures from Zamboanga City to Isabela City and vice versa. Montenegro Lines remains committed to providing mandated discounts for eligible passengers, including students, senior citizens, and young children.

“Our priority remains the safety and comfort of our passengers,” the company stated. “These adjustments are necessary to maintain our vessels to the highest standards and to navigate the rising costs of maritime operations while keeping sea travel accessible for the local community.”

Passengers are encouraged to plan their trips accordingly and arrive at the terminal early to avoid inconvenience. For those availing of discounted rates (Students, Seniors, and PWDs), please ensure that a valid government-issued ID or school ID is presented at the ticket counter upon purchase.
