BCDA to complete all SCTEx exchanges this year, more service facilities

The Subic-Clark-Tarlac expressway (SCTEx), the Philippines’ longest tollroad, is expected to offer better experience for motorists with all exchanges and additional services set for completion this year.

Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang, president and CEO of Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), announced to finish all the construction works and improvements this year to provide better service to the riding public.

Foremost in the construction schedule is the Tarlac exchange, which is set for bidding soon. Lightings will also be improved at the 94-kilometer tollroad.

BCDA will also open more service facilities along the tollroad especially for the Subic portion.

“It is time to give back through better service,” said Bingcang noting that motorists also bear the burden of increased toll fees. These facilities are also part of the requirements of the Toll Regulatory Board.

Bingcang also said that BCDA is helping the national government to build a bigger development in the SCTEX where Clarkis expected to play a bigger role.
