Megaworld commences land development for ‘Ilocandia Coastown’

Following the successful 2024 launch of its 84-hectare Ilocandia Coastown, property giant Megaworld is officially moving into the land development phase of the premier township.

This milestone marks the start of road and infrastructure construction, alongside the highly anticipated launch of its inaugural residential project: Ilocandia Beach Village.

Spanning 19.4 hectares of prime coastal land, Ilocandia Beach Village is set to become the first and only exclusive, gated residential community in Laoag City with direct beach access. Inspired by the coastal elegance of Santa Monica, California, the village offers a “Live-Work-Play” lifestyle unique to the Ilocos Region.

“We envision Ilocandia Beach Village transforming the landscape of the city by offering a unique and vibrant lifestyle that celebrates the beauty of Ilocandia’s stunning coastline,” says May Santos, Head of Sales and Marketing, Ilocandia Coastown.

The village will feature 446 lots, ranging from 230 to 406 square meters, offering residents panoramic sea views and a private gateway to the 1.4-kilometer shoreline.

  • Key features include:

  • The Clubhouse: A two-story modern tropical masterpiece featuring a fitness center, movement studio, 160-capacity function hall, and a swimming pool with a jacuzzi and spa-jet facility.

  • Central Park: A hub for wellness and recreation, including a covered picnic grove, multi-play courts, and extensive jogging paths.

  • Green Spaces: Multiple linear parks with fitness trails, a sand play area for children, and a dedicated Pet Park equipped with hydration stations and play structures.

  • Urban Agri Park: An interactive edible garden and seating area for community gathering.

In a first for Laoag City, the village will utilize an underground cabling system for all electrical and telecommunications utilities. This ensures that the pristine, panoramic views of the Ilocos coastline remain unobstructed by overhead wires.

Ilocandia Coastown is positioned to be a major tourism and business hub. Its strategic location offers unparalleled connectivity:

  • Laoag International Airport: Less than 15 minutes away.

  • Fort Ilocandia Hotel: Located immediately adjacent to the township.

  • Paoay Church (UNESCO World Heritage Site): Within a 30-minute drive.

Aside from the residential village, the 84-hectare township will eventually house a lifestyle mall, a shophouse district, luxury hotels, and a town center.
