The Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) is officially inviting organizations to apply for or renew their membership in the Stakeholders’ Chamber on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As the first institutionalized multi-stakeholder mechanism for sustainable development in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, the Chamber serves as a critical engine for the country’s progress toward the 2030 Agenda. Since its inception in 2022, the Chamber has bridged the gap between government initiatives and the private sector, aligning corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability programs with national goals.
DEPDev Undersecretary for Policy and Planning and SC-SDG Chair, Rosemarie G. Edillon, emphasized that achieving the 17 Global Goals is impossible through government action alone. “Attaining the goals of the 2030 Agenda requires not only a whole-of-government but also a whole-of-nation approach,” said Edillon. “Through the Stakeholders’ Chamber, we are strengthening collaboration, aligning resources, and fostering shared accountability to ensure that no one is left behind.”
Membership offers a unique platform for organizations to influence national policy while scaling their own impact. Selected members for the July 2026 – June 2029 term will gain access to:
-
Strategic Influence: Participate in high-level policy engagement and national planning.
-
Partnership Networks: Collaborative opportunities with government agencies, NGOs, and international development partners.
-
Visibility: Recognition as a leader in the Philippine sustainability landscape.
-
Capacity Building: Exclusive learning opportunities and alignment with the country’s development agenda.
The application window is currently open and will close on March 13, 2026. DEPDev is seeking a diverse coalition of partners, including:
-
Business & Industry: MSMEs, social enterprises, and large corporations.
-
Knowledge Hubs: Academia, think tanks, and scientific communities.
-
Civil Society: NGOs, trade unions, and media partners.
-
Advocacy Groups: Organizations representing sectoral and vulnerable groups.
“The 2030 Agenda is a shared responsibility,” Edillon added. “We invite organizations to harmonize their innovations with ours, ensuring our path toward sustainable development is collective, inclusive, and accelerated.”
