AirAsia Philippines (Z2) and AirAsia Malaysia (AK) wish to inform all guests of a strategic terminal reassignment at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to improve travel efficiency and the overall passenger experience.
Effective Sunday, March 29, 2026, all international operations for both AirAsia Philippines and AirAsia Malaysia will officially transfer from Terminal 3 (T3) to Terminal 1 (T1).
This transition includes all essential passenger touchpoints:
-
Check-in counters
-
Boarding gates
-
Baggage claim areas
This move is a core component of the New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation’s (NNIC) ongoing terminal reassignment program. The initiative aims to optimize airport capacity, streamline terminal operations, and provide a more seamless gateway experience for travelers entering and exiting the Philippines.
AirAsia emphasizes that while the terminal location is changing, flight schedules remain unaffected. Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive at Terminal 1 at least three hours prior to their scheduled departure to allow ample time for check-in and security procedures.
AirAsia is proactively reaching out to all affected passengers via their registered email addresses and SMS. Travelers are advised to ensure their contact information is up to date to receive these vital notifications.
To stay updated on flight statuses, guests can utilize:
-
The AirAsia MOVE app (available on iOS and Android)
-
Official Website: www.airasia.com/flightstatus/
-
On-site Signage: Follow directional signs and approach airport staff for immediate assistance.
AirAsia remains committed to providing a smooth transition for all guests and appreciates their cooperation as we move toward a more enhanced airport experience.
