First Gen to power two premier Alabang properties with RE

Leading renewable energy provider First Gen Corporation (First Gen) was tapped to power two prestigious properties – Parkway Corporate Center and Bristol at Parkway Place – with geothermal energy, in line with commitments towards sustainability and energy efficiency.

Both properties are located in Filinvest City, Alabang, Muntinlupa and are managed by Pro-Excel Property Managers, Inc. (Pro-Excel).

Representatives from First Gen, Pro-Excel, Parkway Corporate Center Condominium Corporation and Bristol Tower Condominium Corporation signed a supply agreement last February 19, 2026 for the direct supply of 1,100 kilowatts (kW) of geothermal energy to power all common areas of the two properties, including lighting, elevators, water pumps, security cameras, air-conditioning and fire detection systems.

First Gen will source the geothermal power from the Bacon-Manito (Bac-Man) generating facilities, which straddle the provinces of Albay and Sorsogon.

“We are pleased to partner with First Gen to power two of our key properties with geothermal energy. This steady renewable supply strengthens our long-term energy strategy, supports more efficient cost management, and reinforces our commitment to sustainable building operations,” said Michelle B. Lazatin, Board President of Parkway Corporate Center Condominium Corporation and Bristol Tower Condominium Corporation.

The 38-storey Bristol Tower is a premium residential development by Filigree, a high-end residential developer known for refined urban residences. Comprising 345 units, Bristol is strategically located on Parkway Avenue near Festival Mall and Parkway Corporate Center.

On the other hand, the Parkway Corporate Center is a 32-storey building with v4 Core and Shell rating—the first office building project in the Philippines to have the latest version of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.

“With more geothermal capacity in the market, more and more of the LEED or green buildings will be able to shift to 24/7 renewable energy which can support increasing demand while ensuring as minimal a carbon footprint as possible,” said Arlene Sy Soriano, First Gen Head of Sales and Engagement, “We encourage more properties to explore programs that will enable them to optimize and even aggregate power usage.”

Aside from geothermal, the First Gen group renewable energy portfolio includes hydro, solar and wind with total capacity of 1,700 megawatts (MW). To offset the intermittence of renewable energy and help ensure energy supply and security, First Gen has a 40% interest in four gas-fired power plants with a total capacity of 2,017 MW, in partnership with majority owner, Prime Infrastructure Capital, Inc.
