Lotte Pepsi Cola eyes PH as regional beverage manufacturing hub

Eric Cho, chief marketing officer of LOTTE Pepsi Cola Products Philippines,  Inc. (PCOPI), is looking at the Philippines as regional manufacturing base for food and beverages for distribution to the ASEAN region.

During the Philippines – Korea Business Forum on Wednesday, March 4, Cho said this goal is supported by the PCPPI production capability and supply chain integration.

The planned scaling up of production in PH will support jobs creation and develop local manufacturing. For instance, he cited the launch of Korean global brands Milkis, King, Chilsung Cider, among others.

The establishment of manufacturing facilities in the Philippines is expected to boost local employment and talent development. “This is about building capabilities in Philippines soil. This is not just a sales strategy, it is a roadmap for shared prosperity,” Cho added.

The company currently employs 5,000 making Korean global brands.
