PEZA accelerates ecozone expansion, secures high-tech investment in LISP IV

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) continues to fast-track the expansion of economic zones nationwide, reinforcing its commitment to regional development and investment generation. As part of this initiative, Total Advanced Future Technology Pte. Ltd. (TAFTPL) is poised to establish its manufacturing operations within the Light Industry and Science Park IV (LISP IV) – Special Economic Zone, pending the anticipated Presidential Proclamation.

PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga met with the TAFT Management Group on 12 March 2026 at the PEZA Head Office to discuss the requirements and registration procedures for the company’s ecozone project. The meeting marks a key step toward formalizing TAFT’s investment in the Philippines.

The proposed development will cover 13 hectares of the 30-hectare LISP IV area slated for proclamation and will serve as Phase 1 of TAFT’s project. Upon issuance of the Presidential Proclamation, TAFT is expected to immediately sign its registration agreement with PEZA and commence operations, signaling the full realization of its investment.

With an initial capital investment of PHP 3.6 billion, the project is projected to generate over USD 120 million in annual export revenues. TAFT also plans to establish a dedicated warehouse facility, with operations set to begin once the proclamation is finalized.

TAFT will focus on the production of high-tech, climate-resilient housing solutions for the Japanese market. Its operations will include the packaging and export of complete housing products, encompassing components, parts, and accessories.

PEZA emphasized that TAFT’s entry into LISP IV will further strengthen the Philippines’ position as a prime destination for high-value, export-oriented investments. The project is also expected to contribute to technology transfer, job creation, and sustainable industrial growth.

“As PEZA advances its goal of proclaiming 30 ecozones this year, we remain committed to fostering regional development and inclusive economic growth,” said Director General Panga. “Projects like TAFT’s will bring meaningful opportunities to Filipino communities. The expansion of LISP IV will serve as a catalyst for innovation, employment, and competitiveness, reinforcing the Philippines’ role as a strategic hub for forward-looking investments.”
