As the Holy Week travel rush approaches, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) is preparing to welcome an estimated 1.35 million passengers from March 28 to April 5, 2026.
In anticipation of the significant increase in traveler volume, airport authorities have activated comprehensive operational measures to ensure a safe, efficient, and smooth passenger experience.
NAIA teams are working in close coordination with government agencies, airline partners, and security personnel in a full-scale, “all hands on deck” effort. Enhanced staffing, optimized passenger flow management, and strengthened safety protocols are being implemented across all terminals to minimize delays and maintain orderly operations throughout the peak travel period.
Airport authorities are also encouraging passengers to take proactive steps in planning their journeys. Simple preparations—such as arriving at the airport early, checking flight statuses in advance, preparing required travel documents, and adhering to baggage regulations—can significantly reduce stress, save time, and help avoid unnecessary expenses.
Travelers are advised to allow ample time for check-in, security screening, and immigration processes, especially during peak travel days. Passengers are also reminded to stay updated through official airline and airport communication channels for any changes or important announcements.
“Holy Week is one of the busiest travel periods of the year, and we are fully committed to ensuring that every passenger’s journey is as safe and seamless as possible,” NAIA officials stated. “Through strong collaboration with our partners and the cooperation of the traveling public, we are confident in delivering a smooth travel experience.”
As millions prepare to travel for reflection, reunion, and rest, NAIA extends its warmest wishes to all passengers for a safe, meaningful, and blessed Holy Week.
