Property giant Megaworld has further solidified its position as the Philippines’ leader in sustainable office development following the LEED Gold certification of its newest office tower, Enterprise Two, in Iloilo Business Park.
This latest milestone expands Megaworld’s portfolio of LEED-certified and registered office properties to 32—the highest count in the Philippine real estate industry to date.
The certification of Enterprise Two, a 12-storey tower located within the 72-hectare Iloilo Business Park township, raises Megaworld’s total number of LEED-certified office buildings to 24. This elite roster now includes:
-
12 LEED Gold-certified towers
-
12 LEED Silver-certified towers
With several other developments currently registered and undergoing evaluation, the company expects to receive additional certifications later this year. “Our commitment to sustainable development is reflected in the scale of our green portfolio. By integrating LEED standards across our townships, we are not just building offices; we are creating healthier, more efficient spaces for the future of work in the Philippines.”
Enterprise Two makes history as the second office building in Western Visayas to achieve LEED Gold status, following its predecessor, Enterprise One.
With a total gross leasable area of 39,000 square meters, Enterprise Two is one of Megaworld’s largest office developments in the region. It boasts a massive floor plate of 4,000 square meters, specifically designed to accommodate the expansive needs of IT-BPM firms and multinational corporations.
Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) framework ensures buildings reduce carbon emissions and operational costs. Enterprise Two achieves this through:
-
Resource Efficiency: Rainwater harvesting systems and low-flow water fixtures.
-
Energy Performance: Double-glazed windows for thermal insulation and highly reflective roof coatings to mitigate the “heat island” effect.
-
Eco-Mobility: On-site electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, dedicated bicycle racks, and seamless access to public transport.
Megaworld’s green footprint spans the country’s premier business districts:
| Certification Level | Notable Developments |
| LEED Gold | Worldwide Plaza (JPMorgan Chase Tower), Uptown Eastgate, 8 Campus (A, B, C), Southeast Asian Campus, One Paseo, and Enterprise One & Two. |
| LEED Silver | Alliance Global Tower, Uptown Place Towers 1-3, International Finance Center, and Pasudeco Tower. |
