Swan Hellenic’s SH Minerva showcases Leyte’s cultural treasures with visit to Digyo Island

Luxury expedition vessel SH Minerva of Swan Hellenic made a memorable stop at Digyo Island, Leyte on Wednesday, giving its 85 international guests an immersive encounter with the island’s rich culture, heritage, and coastal traditions.
Upon arrival, passengers were welcomed with a curated lineup of hands‑on cultural demonstrations that highlighted the craftsmanship and livelihood of the local community. Visitors observed and participated in banig weaving, traditional net making, dried and salted fish preparation, and tuba (coconut wine) making and tasting.
