Pres. Marcos honors Filipino mothers on Mother’s Day, expresses heartfelt gratitude to First Lady Liza

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Sunday paid a warm tribute to Filipino mothers across the nation in celebration of Mother’s Day, recognizing their unwavering love, sacrifices, and invaluable contributions as the foundation of both the family and the country.

In a message shared on his official Facebook page, the President emphasized the irreplaceable role that mothers play in shaping the character and strength of communities.

President Marcos wrote: “For every mother, there is a love and sacrifice that no words can equal. You are the light of the home and the pillar of every Filipino family. Through your care, patience, and unparalleled love, our homes, communities, and nation grow stronger.”

The Chief Executive went on to express his deep gratitude for the quiet, daily heroism of mothers that helps propel the nation forward.

In a separate, more personal Mother’s Day tribute, President Marcos expressed his profound appreciation for his wife, First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos, highlighting her devotion to their family.

“To my dear Liza, Happy Mother’s Day,” the President shared. “I have watched you love this family for years, not out of a mother’s duty but out of a mother’s love. Our boys could not have asked for a more loving mother, and I could not have asked for a better partner to walk through life with.”

He thanked the First Lady for her steady presence and enduring patience through the highs and lows of their journey together.

“Thank you for holding our family together with so much love and patience through every season of our lives. We love you, always,” he wrote.

The intimate tribute to the First Lady was accompanied by a 41-second video compilation showcasing treasured, candid moments of the First Family.
