The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) National Command Center is fully operational at Revenue Region No. 7B in Mandaluyong City, actively monitoring nationwide filing and payment activities on the final day of the extended Annual Income Tax Return (AITR) period.
BIR Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza, alongside Deputy Commissioners and key Bureau officials, is personally overseeing nationwide operations from the command hub. The leadership team is closely tracking real-time data from Revenue District Offices (RDOs) and taxpayer assistance facilities, coordinating immediate responses to system traffic and filing concerns to ensure uninterrupted taxpayer support until the official close of the deadline.
The National Command Center serves as the central hub for:
-
Real-time system monitoring to ensure digital filing platforms remain stable.
-
Live field reports from RDOs across the country.
-
Immediate taxpayer assistance updates to resolve bottlenecks instantly.
-
Operational assessments to maintain seamless Bureau performance.
This synchronized, nationwide effort underscores the BIR’s steadfast commitment to its core banner: “Mahusay na Serbisyo, Katumbas ng Buwis Mo” (Excellent Service, Worth Your Taxes).
The original AITR deadline of April 15 was previously extended to May 15 by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., providing Filipino taxpayers with crucial additional time to accurately file their returns, settle payments, and submit all required attachments without penalty.
The BIR reminds the public that assistance counters and electronic filing channels will remain fully active and supported until the deadline officially closes tonight.
