Leading ferry operator OceanJet has officially announced a reduction in its temporary fuel surcharge for selected routes, effective June 8, 2026. The adjustment comes in response to recent stabilization and improvements in global fuel market prices.
While the company welcomed the easing of market pressures, management noted that overall operational costs still remain significantly higher than pre-crisis levels. Consequently, a portion of the temporary surcharge will be retained for the time being to ensure continued service sustainability.
“We remain deeply committed to providing safe, swift, and dependable sea travel for our passengers,” OceanJet Management stated. “As a business, we must continuously balance operational viability with passenger affordability. We are pleased to pass these recent market savings directly to our customers, and we will continue to evaluate our fare structures as market conditions evolve.”
OceanJet further clarified that the remaining fuel surcharge will be completely dismantled once fuel costs return to baseline, normal levels.
Under the newly adjusted pricing structure, passengers will see updated rates across several major travel corridors. Standard routes not explicitly listed in this new advisory will maintain their current pricing.
