Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Sharon S. Garin underscored the human impact of sustainable power at the PhilEnergy Expo 2026, rallying government leaders, global investors, and technology providers to collaborate on the nation’s long-term energy security.
The three-day exhibition and conference serves as the region’s premier platform for showcasing emerging clean energy technologies, driving capital investments, and strengthening international partnerships to accelerate the country’s green transition.
Speaking to industry stakeholders, Secretary Garin shifted the traditional narrative of utility management, emphasizing that successful infrastructure overhaul must ultimately serve everyday citizens.
“Energy is often discussed in terms of supply, infrastructure, fuel, and cost. But in truth, energy is about people,” Secretary Garin stated. “It is about whether a family can keep the lights on at home, a business can keep operating, a hospital can function without interruption, and an economy can keep moving with confidence.”
The PhilEnergy Expo 2026 highlights the department’s aggressive push to integrate cutting-edge innovations into the national grid while maintaining affordable, uninterrupted power. Moving forward, the DOE remains steadfastly committed to working alongside industry pioneers, development partners, and community stakeholders to build an energy ecosystem that is secure, sustainable, and built to last.
