In light of the recent public advisories on rotating brownouts that will hit Metro Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Batangas, Laguna, Rizal, and Quezon, Globe assures its customers that contingency measures are in place to ensure continuous operations of its facilities and cell sites.
In the absence of commercial power, backup power sources such as generators and batteries are in place to keep the network running, the company said in a statement.
“The company continues to work closely with key government institutions and industry partners to support efforts that prioritize telecommunications as critical infrastructure. These engagements help ensure that the necessary resources and operational support are in place to sustain network services and enable fast restoration during prolonged power interruptions,” the statement added.
As part of its broader energy resiliency efforts, Globe said it continues to strengthen energy efficiency measures across its operations while increasing the use of renewable energy and AI-driven technologies that help optimize power consumption across network sites.
“Globe remains focused on maintaining stable and reliable connectivity for customers during this period,” the statement concluded.
