Suzhou, China—Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ma. Cristina A. Roque recently met with GoodWe Corporation chairman Min Huang and Yude Solar Technologies Co., LTD. chief executive Officer Yudong Bao to discuss the company’s planned entry and expansion in the Philippines’ renewable energy sector, with a primary focus on distributed photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, and commercial and industrial (C&I) applications.
Organized by DTI, the meeting highlighted Secretary Roque’s ongoing push to attract high-value clean energy investments. The initiative aims to support the country’s renewable energy transition and strengthen strategic partnerships with global industry leaders.
Yude Solar has already completed its business registration in the Philippines and is actively building partnerships with local solar industry players—including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms, financial institutions, and other stakeholders—to establish an integrated distributed solar ecosystem in the country.
Established in May 2021 and backed by GoodWe’s global smart energy ecosystem, Yude Solar has developed and commissioned over 3 GW of rooftop solar projects across China, alongside installing more than 90,000 residential solar systems across 20 provinces. The company was recognized as one of China’s most influential household solar brands from 2022 to 2025 and holds the prestigious CQC Household Photovoltaic System 2A Certification.
Leveraging GoodWe’s advanced technologies, Yude Solar provides integrated smart energy solutions covering solar generation, energy storage, intelligent load management, and grid integration. Its C&I segment focuses on “load + grid + generation + storage” solutions designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance power resilience for businesses.
Furthermore, the company is expanding its clean energy portfolio to include battery energy storage systems (BESS) and green energy certificates (GECs) to align with global decarbonization efforts.
Yude Solar has committed to collaborating closely with Secretary Roque and relevant Philippine government agencies to deliver affordable, reliable clean energy solutions to Filipino households and businesses.
