DBM Chief Information Officer advocates for government cyber resilience at Business Resiliency Forum 2026

As public services and economic transactions rapidly shift to online platforms, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) is actively championing the integration of robust cybersecurity measures into the nation’s digital infrastructure.

Highlighting this commitment, DBM Undersecretary and Chief Information Officer Maria Francesca M. Del Rosario served as a key panelist during the critical Cybersecurity segment of the Business Resiliency Forum 2026 (BRF 2026) held recently.

Organized by the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), the forum gathered top leaders from various sectors to address how modern institutions can navigate increasingly complex cyber threats while maintaining absolute operational trust and reliability.

During the panel discussion, Usec. Del Rosario shared strategic insights on strengthening national cyber resilience. She emphasized that cybersecurity can no longer be treated as an isolated IT issue; rather, it must be deeply embedded into broader organizational strategies to ensure business continuity, protect sensitive public data, and sustain citizen confidence in digital government systems.

“Cybersecurity is a fundamental cornerstone of modern governance,” said Usec. Del Rosario. “As we move more services online to improve efficiency, ensuring those platforms are secure and uninterrupted is critical to maintaining the public’s trust.”

The event underscored a shared consensus among attendees: building a secure, resilient, and future-proof digital economy requires continuous, proactive collaboration among government agencies, industry stakeholders, and technology leaders.
