The Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) and the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) formalized a landmark partnership on July 1, 2026, to institutionalize the nationwide digital distribution of cash gifts under the Expanded Centenarians Act (ECA).
The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony, held at the LANDBANK Plaza in Malate, Manila, underscores the government’s commitment to driving more accessible, secure, and efficient public service delivery for Filipino elderly.
Under the ECA, senior citizens reaching the milestone ages of 80, 85, 90, and 95 are entitled to receive a ₱10,000 cash gift. Meanwhile, centenarians reaching the age of 100 will receive ₱100,000.
Through LANDBANK’s robust digital banking channels, qualified ECA grantees can now conveniently receive their cash incentives directly through:
-
Existing LANDBANK savings accounts
-
LANDBANK PISO Plus Accounts
-
LANDBANK Visa Debit Cards
To ensure no beneficiary is left behind, senior citizens who do not currently hold a LANDBANK account can easily open one. They may use the Straight-Through Account Opening feature on the LANDBANK Mobile Banking App (MBA) or utilize the Digital Onboarding System (DOBS) at any LANDBANK branch nationwide.
The strategic partnership was officialized by NCSC Chairperson and CEO Atty. Ma. Merceditas N. Gutierrez and LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz.
“This collaboration represents a significant step forward in leveraging technology to honor and support our senior citizens. By digitizing these payouts, we ensure that our elderly receive their well-deserved benefits safely and without unnecessary delays,” the heads of the agencies noted during the signing.
The ceremony was witnessed by NCSC Acting Executive Director IV Ana Marie C. Calapit and LANDBANK Executive Vice President Marilou L. Villafranca.
Through this digital initiative, both LANDBANK and NCSC aim to eliminate long queues and streamline administrative processes, providing a dignified and hassle-free experience for the nation’s valued elders.
