Departing Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) can now look forward to a faster, paperless airport experience. Twenty-four international airlines operating at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) have officially integrated the digital OFW Pass into their check-in operations, eliminating the need for hard-copy Overseas Employment Certificates (OECs).
Powered by the Department of Migrant Workers’ (DMW) e-Verify system, participating carriers can now instantly verify a worker’s exit clearance electronically while seamlessly processing applicable terminal fee exemptions or refunds.
OFWs flying out of NAIA with any of the following 24 partner airlines can now utilize the digital verification process:

Access the App: Eligible OFWs present their passport and digital OFW Pass generated via the eGovPH App during check-in.

Instant Scan: Airline personnel verify the QR-coded exit clearance directly through the DMW’s e-Verify system.

Seamless Travel: The system automatically confirms clearance and applies the appropriate terminal fee exemption or refund.

The e-Verify system forms a core component of the DMW’s ongoing digitalization push, following the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to modernize government services and ease the travel burden on modern-day heroes.
“Our aim is to make the departure process as seamless as possible for OFWs,” said NNIC General Manager Lito Alvarez. “Every unnecessary step we remove makes the airport experience more convenient and allows passengers to move through check-in more efficiently.”
