The Board of Investments (BOI) has successfully wrapped up the Cebu leg of its 2026–2028 Strategic Investment Priority Plan (SIPP) Roadshow, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating economic growth and investment opportunities across the Visayas region.
The event gathered key private sector stakeholders, local leaders, and prospective investors to explore the nation’s updated investment priorities, enhanced fiscal incentives, and regional economic development strategies.
The second half of the program featured an open forum led by Trade Undersecretary and BOI Managing Head Ceferino S. Rodolfo. The forum provided participants a direct channel to engage with BOI leadership on policy updates, priority sectors, and registration processes. Joining Undersecretary Rodolfo on the panel were key BOI officials, including:
-
Sandra Marie Recolizado, Director of the Investment Policy and Planning Service (IPPS)
-
Annie Raganit, Director of the Investment Assistance Service (IAS)
-
Rose Marie Mendoza, Acting Director of the Management Information Service (MIS)
-
Ryan Ramos, Director of the Infrastructure and Service Industries Service (ISIS)
Delivering a powerful call to action, Esperanza Melgar, Acting Regional Director of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Central Visayas, urged local stakeholders to take an active, driving role in advancing the region’s economic landscape.
In her closing message, BOI Governor Kathrina Lim-Dy highlighted the vital role of sustained stakeholder engagement in translating investment opportunities into tangible regional development.
“We hope to build on the momentum created today here in the Visayas and broaden this important dialogue with even more stakeholders across the country. Through these engagements, we aim to strengthen awareness of the opportunities under the new SIPP, encourage deeper collaboration and stronger partnerships, and help bring investment projects to fruition in support of sustainable and inclusive growth,” said Governor Lim-Dy.
Following the formal presentation, the BOI hosted dedicated one-on-one consultation sessions, offering tailored guidance to both prospective and existing investors seeking to register projects or expand their operations under the new SIPP framework.
With the Cebu leg successfully concluded, the BOI now turns its focus to Mindanao. The third and final leg of the roadshow will take place in Davao City, where discussions will center on Mindanao’s expanding contribution to the national economy and aligning targeted investment incentives with the region’s unique strategic strengths.
