Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs) from Cagayan Valley recorded more than P2.1 million in sales and unlocked new business opportunities through the Regional Grand Bagsakan and 3rd Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) Negosyo Agraryo Fair 2026 organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2 in partnership with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Region 2.
Held from July 11 to 14 at Ayala Malls Marquee in Angeles City, Pampanga, the four-day fair generated P1.84 million in cash sales and more than P267,000 in booked sales.
Over 60 participating enterprises from Region 2, joined by six MSMEs from Pampanga, presented a wide array of regional goods. Shoppers browsed fresh agricultural produce, processed foods, coffee, cacao, handicrafts, furniture, home décor and fashion accessories.
Beyond direct consumer sales, the event focused on creating lasting market connections. Through business-to-business (B2B) matching sessions led by the Bureau of Market Development, Promotions and OTOP (BMDPO), exhibitors pitched their products directly to institutional buyers from the National Capital Region. These meetings helped them secure larger and more sustainable markets beyond their home provinces.
Several exhibitors initiated talks for recurring supply contracts, while others gained valuable insights into market requirements and buyer expectations to help refine their future operations. These market linkages help local enterprises diversify their customer base, reduce dependence on seasonal or local demand shifts, and build more reliable revenue streams.
The fair’s strong financial turnout and promising leads underscore the growing commercial appeal of Cagayan Valley’s regional goods, reflecting DTI Region 2’s ongoing push to boost rural business competitiveness across the country.
