The EU-ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC) and the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) have announced that the 12th ASEAN-EU Business Summit will take place on 22 September 2026 in Manila, Philippines.
Held alongside the ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) Meeting under the auspices of the Philippines’ 2026 ASEAN Chairship, the annual summit serves as the premier dialogue platform for bilateral trade and investment between Europe and Southeast Asia.
First held in Jakarta in 2011, the Summit has consistently brought together heads of state, government ministers, and global business executives to deepen cross-regional economic ties. The 2026 edition directly aligns with one of the primary pillars of the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairship—Prosperity Corridors—focusing on actionable strategies to unlock shared economic growth.
The 2026 program will center on four strategic areas of cooperation:

Clean Energy: Accelerating the clean energy transition and sustainable infrastructure across both regions.

Artificial Intelligence (AI): Navigating AI governance, innovation, and digital transformation.

Inclusive Finance: Expanding access to capital and fostering financial inclusion across emerging markets.

Health & Nutrition: Strengthening regional healthcare systems, food security, and biotechnology supply chains.
“The ASEAN-EU Business Summit continues to be a crucial platform for promoting trade, investment, and policy integration between two of the world’s most dynamic economic blocs,” said a spokesperson for the event. “As we assemble in Manila alongside the ASEAN Economic Ministers, our goal is to deliver pragmatic, high-impact business solutions across energy, technology, finance, and health.”
The EU-ASEAN Business Council is the primary voice for European business in the ASEAN region. It is recognized by both the European Commission and the ASEAN Secretariat as an independent entity advocating for market access, trade acceleration, and commercial collaboration between Europe and Southeast Asia.
