The Port of Currimao in Ilocos Norte proudly welcomed the cruise ship M/V Star Navigator for the fourth time on Saturday, December 6, 2025, underscoring the province’s growing appeal as a premier cruise destination in the Philippines.
The M/V Star Navigator, owned by StarCruises, made its initial visit on November 22, 2025, and has since made successful return calls on November 24 and November 29. Its consistent presence highlights a promising new partnership for local tourism and commerce.
An enthusiastic welcoming delegation greeted approximately 1,700 tourists and crew who disembarked at the pier. The visitors originated from diverse global locations, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the United States, and various other Asian countries.

The M/V Star Navigator is a large vessel, boasting a gross tonnage of 75,338.0 MT and a length of 268 meters. The ship mainly sails from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and has a total capacity of 1,820 passengers and 1,134 crew.
Port authorities are anticipating further visits, with four additional dockings of the M/V Star Navigator scheduled before the end of 2025. This consistent activity solidifies the Port of Currimao’s position as a reliable and accessible gateway for cruise tourism in Northern Luzon.
