Philippine Airlines (PAL) wishes to advise the traveling public that all flight operations to and from Saipan (SPN) are temporarily suspended effective immediately through June 18, 2026.
This suspension is a direct result of critical runway repair works currently being conducted at the Saipan International Airport following the impact of Typhoon Sinlaku. To ensure the safety of our passengers and crew—which remains our top priority—PAL will resume operations only once the airport infrastructure has been fully restored and cleared for international heavy-aircraft traffic.
The suspension impacts the following bi-weekly services:
| Flight Number | Route | Original Schedule |
| PR 2571 | Manila (MNL) to Saipan (SPN) | Every Wednesday and Sunday |
| PR 2572 | Saipan (SPN) to Manila (MNL) | Every Monday and Thursday |
Philippine Airlines is committed to assisting passengers during this period of disruption. Travelers holding confirmed tickets for the affected dates may choose from the following recovery options:
-
Rebook Ticket: Rebook on the next available flight after June 18, 2026, in the same cabin class, with rebooking fees waived.
-
Convert to Travel Credits: Convert the unused ticket value into a Travel Voucher with no expiry date. As a gesture of goodwill, PAL is offering a 5% bonus value on credits converted due to this specific disruption.
-
Reroute via Guam: Passengers may choose to reroute to Guam (GUM) as an alternative gateway, subject to seat availability. Please note that any transportation costs between Guam and Saipan must be covered by the passenger.
-
Refund: Request a full refund of the ticket value (excluding the ticketing service charge).
-
Passengers who booked their tickets through a travel agency or third-party site are advised to contact their agent directly for any changes or refund requests.
For those who booked directly through the PAL website, mobile app, or ticket offices, please visit our dedicated support portal at https://pal.my.site.com/s/ or call our 24/7 reservations hotline.
Philippine Airlines sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these infrastructure repairs and appreciates the patience of our passengers as we work to restore our Saipan service.
