In line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to provide greater financial relief to state workers, the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has officially expanded its Balik Ginhawa 2 Program.
The enhancement relaxes eligibility requirements, allowing a broader base of members and pensioners to qualify for substantial financial refunds.
Under the upgraded program, qualified individuals can receive a refund equivalent to up to six months of their eligible loan amortizations, specifically covering payments made from December 2025 to May 2026.

Marcos Jr., mas pinalawak, mas pinadali, at mas pinalaki ang Balik Ginhawa 2 ng GSIS para mas marami pang miyembro at pensioners ang makikinabang,” said Presidential Communications Office (PCO) and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro during a Malacañang press briefing. The expanded Balik Ginhawa 2 Program aims to ease the financial burden on government employees while incentivizing them to keep their loan accounts active and in good standing. Significant updates include:

Relaxed Qualifications: Members with existing loan arrears (overdue payments) are now eligible to apply, provided that their loans have not yet been declared due and demandable.

Substantial Refunds: Eligible applicants can recover up to six months’ worth of qualified loan payments.

Sustained Government Support: The initiative underscores the administration’s commitment to prioritizing the economic welfare of state fields and retirees.
“Maaari na ring mag-avail kahit may arrears, basta’t hindi pa due and demandable ang inyong mga loan. Patunay lamang ang programang ito na mas malaking ginhawa ang naghihintay sa bawat member ng GSIS sa Balik Ginhawa 2,” Castro added.
The GSIS encourages all eligible members and pensioners to check their status and secure their refunds digitally for a faster, seamless transaction.
