Cunard Line’s newest pinnacle of luxury, the MS Queen Anne, made a grand return to the Port of Manila docking at Pier 15, Manila South Harbor.
This marks the vessel’s second visit to the Philippine capital as part of its monumental 116-day “Full World Voyage,” which commenced in Hamburg, Germany, on January 6.
Arriving from Hong Kong, the MS Queen Anne brought approximately 2,900 international passengers and 1,200 crew members to Philippine shores. The visit underscores Manila’s growing status as a premier destination for ultra-luxury global cruise circuits.
The arrival was characterized by a massive logistical operation to ensure passengers experienced the best of the city and its surrounding provinces. Over 50 vehicles, including 33 tour buses and 15 shuttles, transported guests to Manila’s historic landmarks and cultural sites.
Beyond tourism, the stop served a vital humanitarian and operational role:
-
Family Reunions: In a touching display of maritime community, 821 relatives were granted access to the Eva Macapagal Cruise Terminal to visit family members working aboard the ship.
-
Crew Exchange: The stop included a scheduled crew rotation, with 58 members disembarking and 36 new members joining the voyage.
The MS Queen Anne is a masterpiece of modern naval architecture, combining grand scale with the refined elegance synonymous with the Cunard brand.
