Philippine Airlines (PAL), the nation’s flag carrier, in partnership with Newport World Resorts, is proud to announce the launch of a premier transit program designed to transform long layovers into luxury experiences.
Starting April 23, 2026, international passengers with a layover of eight hours or more in Manila can swap the terminal gate for a world-class integrated resort.
Under this new initiative, eligible travelers will receive complimentary round-trip airport transfers directly to Newport World Resorts, located just minutes away from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The “Manila Stopover Experience” ensures that transit time is no longer “lost” time. Passengers can now seamlessly transition from the tarmac to a vibrant hub of entertainment and relaxation.
-
World-Class Dining: Access to an array of international cuisines and award-winning signature restaurants.
-
Premium Relaxation: High-end lounges and spa facilities to refresh before the next long-haul leg.
-
Retail & Entertainment: Premium shopping boutiques, cinema complexes, and live entertainment.
-
Effortless Logistics: Dedicated shuttle services ensure passengers return to their terminal with ample time for security and boarding.
“We want our passengers to feel the warmth of Filipino hospitality the moment they touch down, even if they are only with us for a few hours,” said a spokesperson for Philippine Airlines. “By partnering with Newport World Resorts, we are providing a gateway to the best of Manila’s lifestyle and leisure, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination.”
This offer is available to all international passengers flying with Philippine Airlines who have a confirmed connecting flight through Manila with a transit time of eight hours or more.
Travelers are encouraged to check visa requirements for entry into the Philippines prior to arrival to ensure a smooth transition through immigration for their stopover.
