BMW Philippines concluded its role as Official Premium Mobility Partner for the ASEAN 2026 Summit, deploying a 125-vehicle fleet for heads of state, diplomats and senior officials during the regional gathering hosted by the Philippines.
SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp., the official importer and distributor of BMW in the Philippines, provided a mix of sedans, fully electric executive cars and plug-in hybrid sport activity vehicles for the event.
The fleet was composed of:
– 25 BMW 760i Protection sedans assigned to heads of state, providing secure mobility through a flagship model designed for high-security requirements while maintaining the comfort and refinement expected of an executive sedan.
– 70 BMW X3 30e xDrive plug-in hybrid sport activity vehicles deployed for visiting diplomats and senior officials, offering a balance of electrified efficiency, versatility and performance for movements across summit venues.
– 30 BMW i5 eDrive40 fully electric executive sedans turned over earlier this year, supporting the summit’s use of zero-tailpipe-emission mobility for official transport requirements.
The deployment supported the Philippines’ hosting of one of ASEAN’s major diplomatic gatherings, where secure, reliable and well-coordinated mobility is essential to the movement of regional leaders and senior delegates across official venues.
It also highlighted BMW Philippines’ role in the country’s luxury automotive market, while reflecting the broader shift toward electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in official and executive transport.
BMW technical teams provided round-the-clock support during the summit to help keep the fleet operational throughout the event, the company said.
