Philippine Aurion invests PHP3.34 B to manufacture solar products in Batangas

Philippine Aurion Solar Technologies Inc. is investing PHP3.34 billion to manufacture solar wafers, solar cells, photovoltaic (PV) modules, inverters, solar mounting systems, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Batangas.

The company signed a registration agreement with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority on July 7, 2026 for the project to be established at the First Philippine Industrial Park-Special Economic Zone (FPIP-SEZ) in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas.

Philippine Aurion, which has an Australian investment backing, is engaged in solar product manufacturing.

PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga said Philippine Aurion already established its project in September 2025 and has built and operated its manufacturing facility.

The project has already recruited and trained more than 400 local high-skilled professionals and technical workers related to solar manufacturing and is expected to create approximately 508 direct jobs over the long term while contributing to technology transfer, workforce upskilling, and the development of the local renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem.

“We welcome more companies bringing advanced technologies and manufacturing capabilities to the Philippines, especially as solar energy continues to grow into one of PEZA’s largest and fastest-growing investment sectors. We will continue to do our part to support the industry’s long-term growth while keeping our ecozones safe, credible, and open for business,” DG Panga said.
As the renewable energy sector continues to expand across PEZA’s economic zones, the Authority reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a predictable, rules-based environment that supports the long-term growth of the solar and renewable energy industry.
The registration and rapid operational launch of Philippine Aurion Solar Technologies Inc. reflect PEZA’s continuing efforts, through efficient administrative support and investor-friendly facilitation, to attract and help realize high-value, technology-driven manufacturing investments that strengthen the Philippines’ industrial capabilities, create quality employment opportunities, and further enhance the country’s position and influence in global clean energy and advanced manufacturing value chains.
