Globe sustains mobile leadership, leads growth in data and hyperpersonalization

From streaming entertainment and shopping online to learning new skills, running businesses, and staying connected with loved ones, mobile connectivity has become an essential part of everyday life for millions of Filipinos.

Keeping pace with these evolving digital habits, Globe continues to strengthen its mobile business through sustained investments in network quality, customer experience, and next-generation technologies, enabling the company to maintain healthy mobile leadership in an increasingly connected world.

During the first quarter, Globe rolled out 408 new 5G sites, bringing outdoor 5G population coverage to more than 98% in Metro Manila and key cities across the Visayas and Mindanao.

Powering today’s digital lifestyles

The way Filipinos use mobile services has changed dramatically over the years, with data becoming the primary driver of customer engagement.

Today, mobile data accounts for 89% of Globe’s total mobile service revenues, up from 85% a year ago, reflecting the growing preference for digital services over traditional voice and SMS. During the first quarter of 2026, Globe’s mobile business generated Php30.0 billion in revenues, up 6% year-on-year, while its subscriber base expanded to around 67 million customers.

Customers are also spending more time online than ever before. Mobile data revenues increased 11% year-on-year, driven by higher usage of video streaming, social media, gaming, digital payments, and other online services. Mobile data traffic rose 18%, while average monthly data consumption reached approximately 16 GB per subscriber.

More than 39 million Globe customers now actively use mobile data services, underscoring the increasingly central role of connectivity in everyday life. The GlobeOne app has also seen significant growth, now reaching an average of 8 million monthly users.

Keeping pace with a connected nation

As digital lifestyles continue to evolve, Globe is investing to ensure its network is able to serve customer demand.

“Our priority is to execute on our plans  well. We will  deliver better customer experience through our digital platforms, and serve products that are relevant through hyperpersonalization. While we continue to expand our 5G network, we intend to deepen our fiber footprint, and differentiate more using  digital technologies,” said Darius Delgado, Globe Chief Commercial Officer.

As more aspects of everyday life become digital, Globe remains committed to delivering reliable mobile connectivity that empowers individuals, enables businesses, and helps communities thrive in an increasingly connected Philippines.
